Kick off the holiday season in the heart of Downtown Reno at the 2026 Holiday Lights Festival! Held on the Virginia Street Bridge overlooking the Truckee River, this two-night celebration brings holiday lights, shopping, food, drinks, entertainment, and family fun to downtown Reno.

Friday evening features Reno’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting, officially welcoming the holiday season and lighting up downtown for the holidays.

On Saturday, the festivities continue with our Holiday Car Decorating Contest, featuring vehicles decked out in lights, decorations, and plenty of Christmas spirit.

Throughout the weekend, enjoy local artisans and holiday shopping, food and drinks, entertainment, and festive activities for the whole family.

The Holiday Lights Festival is free and open to the public. Join us November 27th and 28th on the Virginia Street Bridge and celebrate the start of the holiday season in Downtown Reno!

A City of Reno Business license is required for anyone selling or providing information on services. a $20 temporary license fee will be added to each weeks invoice. if you have not provided us with you City of Reno Business License number (not state of Nevada) you MUST purchase a temporary for the day of the event.
If you do not have one, a temporary form will be provided to you at the end of the event
